2022 Ford Explorer Review

Ford may be known for its popular F-150 pick-up truck but they produce so much more. Consider their SUV, the Ford Explorer. This full-size SUV with seating for six or seven and the power you need to get where you need to go.

To get you excited for the 2022 Ford Explorer, the team at Byers Ford has put together this quick review with what we know about the model. If you’re looking for a 2022 Ford Explorer for sale near Delaware, Marion, Sunbury, OH, then visit us to learn more about what it has to offer.

More Options To Make It Your Own

You don’t buy a Ford vehicle to blend into the crowd, you buy a Ford vehicle because they are strong, they are powerful, and they stand out. For the XLT trim level, there’s an entirely new appearance package. This package will give you Ebony seat bolsters with Light Slate inserts for an intense and attractive contrast.

The 2022 Ford Explorer is also driving onto the scene with two entirely new exterior colors: Stone Blue and Burgundy Velvet. Stone Blue is a serious gray-blue reminiscent of smooth rocks at the bottom of a river, while Burgundy Velvet will remind you of Victorian opulence with a dark red sheen.

Your Explorer should be a reflection of you, and now you have even more options to do it.

Stay On the Highway With the ST-Line

Premiering in the 2020 model year, the ST trim is the trim level for explosive power. However, maybe you like the look, but don’t need the 4-wheel drive power of the standard ST trim. That’s why, for the 2022 model year, the 2022 Ford Explorer is offering the ST-Line, which will give you all the style and half the power.

The ST-Line will have all of the aesthetic trimmings of the ST-Line, but it comes with rear-wheel drive. This means that power from the engine only goes to the rear axle, as opposed to the 4-wheel drivetrain, which sends power to all four wheels individually. This may mean less overall power, but it could improve your fuel economy.

Power Up With the King Ranch and Platinum

The King Ranch and Platinum trims have  been pillars of the Ford line-ups for years, and these trims are getting an overhaul with the 2022 Ford Explorer. These trims will have the 3.0L EcoBoost® engine that is expected to produce up to 400 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque.

On the inside, you’ll have multicontour seating to make yourself as comfortable as possible on your adventures, as well as the 10.1-inch touchscreen in the center stack to house your infotainment system. For the audiophiles, these two trims will come with the 14-speaker Bang & Olufson premium sound system.
